The Dave Smith Instruments OB-6 synthesizer is the result of a unique collaboration. One of the most influential factors in the world of polysynthesizers, Dave Smith and Tom Oberheim co-created the OB-6 synthesizer. The instrument incorporates the classic bold sound of Tom Oberheim and adds modern elements to this base, such as studio-quality effects and a polyphonic step sequencer. At the heart of the synthesizer is the original Oberheim SEM sound engine. The SEM includes two voltage-controlled oscillators, as well as a sub-oscillator, per tone, and continuously variable waveforms. The classic Oberheim-inspired bipolar resonant filter brings low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and notch functions. Voltage-controlled amplifiers crown the fully analog signal path! In addition, the OB-6 includes an X-MOD sequencer that expands the world of sound and makes it easy to create unusual and new sound worlds. The sources of the modulation are the filter Envelope and the oscillator 2, both equipped with bi-polar control.
